Recognized as one of Alberta's Top Employers (2019):

Here are some of the reasons why ATB Financial was selected as one of Alberta's Top Employers (2019):

  • ATB helps employees balance their work and personal lives through a variety of alternative working options -- and helps its telecommuting employees with financial support in setting up their home offices, including a monthly subsidy for internet usage
  • ATB Financial prioritizes the health of its workforce through a number of initiatives, including a dedicated wellness committee, a network of Wellness Champions, an online platform with related resources and various wellness events
  • ATB's charitable focus is the economy, workplace, the environment, arts and culture, and community -- the company and its employees supported over 500 charitable organizations in the past year and encourages employees to get involved with paid time off to volunteer and matching employee donations

Recognized as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2019):

Here are some of the reasons why ATB Financial was selected as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2019):

  • ATB's summer student program, ATB 101, include student roles which are models of true positions at ATB, providing real work experience that supports their professional and personal development -- the program features a "day in the life" experience with each of ATB's business units and a capstone project to work on in cross-disciplinary teams
  • At the end of their term, teams present their ideas and business solutions in a case competition format to a panel of executive judges, with the winners receiving a letter of recommendation from ATB's CEO, a year-round feature on ATB's career site and potentially have their business ideas implemented
  • ATB's Emerging Leaders Network is a non-profit that organizes events to help grow leadership skills and contribute back to the community through charity work -- through the network the W.I.S.E.R Games (Workforce, Innovation, Strategy, Execution, Results) were launched, a friendly competition between groups of individuals to work with a local organization to help them solve a problem and raise funds, culminating in a presentation to an elite judge panel at ATB's annual gala
